It's a post it note frenzy

The packings guys will be back in 5 days time, and so currently the house looks like this. There are post it notes everywhere labelling what is to be shipped, stored or sold. Although quite who will want to buy a second hand go-karting trophy or a half full bag of tea lights is anyone's guess.


Since the last post we've booked our one-way flight to Melbourne on the 21st November and the visas have come through so it looks like we're definitely going! Whether all of the stuff we want to take comes with us will depend, however, on whether the post it notes stay stuck to whatever they are on.....

Packing guy came...

OK, 300 cubic feet? is that the same as 8 cubic metres, either way that is the space available for taking stuff.
10 cubic feet = 1 washing machine, but we are not taking 30 washing machines, definately time to get rid of some stuff.
Bonus is they pack and wrap everything, straight out the cupboards! and the same at the other end!

Now is the time to start making decisions

Questions like, where to live?

How will we get everything over there? More importantly what do we want to take? Shipping guys coming in a couple of weeks...

Also what do we need to sell, charity shop, throw, gift?

An empty chair and an empty desk... just about the tidiest it has ever looked.

Student or unemployed...

I think I prefer to think of myself as a student again. Work finished one week ago, very sad saying goodbye but I am sure that I will keep in touch. I shall try to do better with facebook.

The very beginning...

On Tuesday, Andy had the official interview with Australia. Today (Thursday) he had a phone call to say yes!
This is the start of it all...
